About Me

Welcome to my creative space! I’m Bee.kay, a Washington, DC native and multi-disciplinary artist continuing my practice throughout and beyond the DMV.

My work has been shaped through years of trial, experimentation, and exploration. Over time, I’ve learned to lean into the art forms that resonate with me most, allowing my style to develop naturally while still evolving. That process has made my work more intentional, both in how it’s created and how it’s experienced.

I bring the world around me to life through a range of mediums, including oil paint, watercolor, gouache, colored pencil, oil pastels, graphic art, photography, and more.

My art is defined by bold color and expressive, stylistic strokes, balancing structure with freedom. Each piece is an opportunity to experiment and create something that feels visually striking while still holding meaning. Whether through a single piece or a full experience, my goal is to create art that stays with you.

Inspiration

Growing up in DC gave me a unique lens, shaped by the rich culture, the historic architecture, and the presence of nature all around. The contrast between structure, fluidity, history, and contemporary life continues to influence how I interpret, and translate the world into my work.

I’m drawn to unique, often overlooked moments, finding beauty, and character in the everyday. Much of my work is inspired by spaces, objects, and scenes that might otherwise go unnoticed, each piece becoming an extension of how I see the world and an invitation for you to see yourself in it.​
